Hand-crafted, proprietary Spanish curriculum developed by Ms. Cindy founded in research-based learning rooted in joy, respect, dignity, and human connection.
My Spanish curriculum, Learning Spanish from the Outside In™, is grounded in a carefully scaffolded approach developed through my ongoing doctoral research in Curriculum and Instruction and Montessori Education. Designed to honor each child’s developmental readiness and individuality, this method is founded in Montessori's Cosmic idea and introduces Spanish through meaningful context and layered exposure building comprehension and confidence from the outside inward. Rather than relying on immersion techniques which are not always accessible, this intentional, step-by-step process allows Spanish language learners to make authentic connections to their home language in ways that feel accessible, relevant, and engaging. The curriculum integrates the Cosmic Idea through cross-disciplinary learning — including literacy, science, math, and the arts — while supporting Spanish language growth that is both deep and durable. My goal is to help learners develop not only Spanish language skills, but also a lasting love of learning and a sense of empowerment as multilingual learners.
