Mission Statement

At Spanish with Ms. Cindy, my mission is to nurture confident, curious, and globally competent language learners from birth through adolescence. Rooted in Dr. Maria Montessori’s vision of Cosmic Education, my program supports learners in developing a deep sense of connection - to themselves, to others, and to the world around them. I believe that language is not just a skill, but a bridge: to culture, empathy, and global understanding, and joyful engagement through hands-on materials, movement, and meaningful human and cultural connections.

Why Spanish?

Did you know Spanish is the 2nd most spoken language in the world?

Sí - es cierto. According to the Instituto Cervantes (2023) - the Spanish government’s leading authority on the Spanish language, there are nearly 500 million Spanish speakers, making it the second most spoken language in the world.

After English, Spanish is the 2nd most spoken language in the state of Idaho and in the United States - according to the U.S. Census Bureau (2023).

In fact, according to recent findings published by the U.S. Census Bureau (2025), 1 in 5 people (22%) in the U.S. speaks a second language - and of that population, 61% them speak Spanish AND English - and very well, at that (U.S. Census Bureau, 2025).
