What Makes Spanish with Ms. Cindy Unique & Effective

My Spanish curriculum, Learning Spanish from the Outside In™, is grounded in an intentionally scaffolded approach developed through my graduate and doctoral research in Education, Curriculum, and Instruction. Designed to honor each child’s developmental readiness and individual learning style, this method introduces Spanish through meaningful context and layered exposure - building comprehension and confidence from the outside inward. Rather than relying on immersion techniques, this intentional, step-by-step process allows learners to make authentic connections to the Spanish language in ways that feel natural, accessible, relevant, and engaging. The  Learning Spanish from the Outside In™ curriculum integrates cross-disciplinary learning from the Montessori Cosmic Idea — including literacy, science, math, history, and the arts — while supporting both English and Spanish language growth that is both complex and usable. My goal is to help learners develop not only language skills, but also a lasting love of learning, and a sense of empowerment as multilingual learners, with a foundation of respect for differences and human dignity.

Ms. Cindy is a proud and dedicated teacher at Rose Hill Montessori School where students receive a comprehensive Montessori education with experienced staff that guide students toward becoming confident, creative, empathetic, culturally aware, and responsible children who are nurtured toward having a lifelong love of learning. All students at RHMS receive twice weekly instruction from Ms. Cindy utilizing her proprietary curriculum,  Learning Spanish from the Outside In™.
